Residential Recycling Services  
 

LJP provides comprehensive recycling services. Please follow the below guidelines in preparing your recyclables for pick-up.

 


Please separate your recyclables into
two categories:


Containers & Mixed Paper/Cardboard

Containers:

 
  • Place together loose in bottom of recycling bin DO NOT put in plastic bags
  • Includes - plastic bottles with a narrow neck (milk, juice, water, detergent)
  • Glass Bottles - clear, green, brown, blue (Do not break)
  • Metal - Aluminum & Tin Cans (beverage cans, pie tins, trays)
  Mixed Paper & Cardboard
 
  • Mix together in a brown paper bag or bundle with cord and place in recycling bin. Includes:
  • Newspaper & Inserts
  • Copy & Computer Paper
  • Junk Mail & Phone Books
  • Magazines & Catalogs
  • Greeting Boards
  • Box Board (cereal, cake, chip & cracker boxes)
  • Corrugated Cardboard - flatted and bundled with cord, max. size 36" x 36" x 6" high

Place Recyclables in One Bin
Place at Curb by 6 a.m.


*NO Plastic Bags are to be used or set out
*Rinse containers clean. *Labels can be left on containers.
*Remove all caps, lids, covers, o-rings, pumps and discard these items into your regular trash.

  • Plastic bags
  • Styrofoam cups or styrofoam packaging
  • Plastic wrap
  • Medicine containers
  • Candy & gum wrappers
  • Carbon paper
  • Wallpaper
  • Bathroom waste paper
  • Photos, slides, transparencies
  • Aerosol cans
  • Paint cans
  • Oil, antifreeze & gas containers
  • Window panes, mirrors
  • Pottery, ceramics
  • Disposable razors
  • Needles
  • Toys, dishes, glassware
  • Plastic tubs, silverware, trays
